Bearings – Our bearings are imported from the leading manufacturer in China due to its many bearing types and dimensions, long life, fit, lubrication and sealing. We can supply a wide range of bearing types (Deep Groove Ball Bearings, Self-aligning Ball Bearings, Angular Contact Ball Bearings, Cylindrical Roller Bearings, Needle Roller Bearings, Spherical Roller Bearings, Tapered Roller Bearings, Thrust Ball Bearings and Thrust Roller Bearings) and dimensions that meet or exceed the AFBMA specifications. Advanced manufacturing technology is used such as fining blank, heat treatment with protective atmosphere and super finishing. By using an optimized design and vacuum degassed steel, dynamics and static load ratings are greatly increased.

Equalizers, Rim Clamps – We are proud of our largest long-term relationships with several leading names in the trailer industry for over 10 years by supplying them with low-cost, high quality equalizers and rim clamps. These products are manufactured using the highest quality ductile iron from a wide range of customer specified DI grades. The quality of these parts is controlled using strict microstructural pass/fail standards that are documented and kept on file at the supplier’s location for review. These companies are the leaders in the design and production of axles, wheels, brakes and running gear for the trailer industry. We maintain a large and organized inventory that is ready to ship on time to our customers.

Idler Hubs – These have been one of our very popular products over the years as they have gone through many steps of evolution and perfection. These are typically made from AISI G-3500 grade of gray cast iron. We work closely with our clients to estimate their sales needs and bring these products directly from overseas to their warehouse. There are many styles and ratings of these products that are used in mobile homes, recreational vehicles, portable equipment, horse, livestock, utility and cargo trailers.

Brakes – We are currently supplying brake drums for trailer axle and lift truck manufacturers. The lift truck company, one of the world's largest, designs, engineers and manufactures materials handling equipment for virtually every market niche, including warehouse trucks, counterbalanced trucks and large capacity cargo and container handling trucks. We also supply 10” and 12” diameter brake drums for the mobile homes, recreational vehicles, portable equipment, horse, livestock, utility and cargo trailer market.

Electric Trailer Brakes - Electric brakes are similar to the hydraulic drum brakes used on automobiles and trucks. While those brakes are actuated by hydraulic pressure, generated by the master cylinder to expand the wheel cylinder, electric brakes function by the action of an electromagnet inside the brake drum. When energized by the action of pressing down on the brake pedal, the magnet tends to be attracted towards the armature surface of the brake drum. The friction generated by the electro-magnet contacting the armature surface then actuates the brake shoes into the brake drum causing deceleration. When selecting trailer brake components for your trailer, consider the weight of your trailer fully loaded with all of its cargo and equipment. For multi-axle trailers, consider how many axles will be equipped with brakes to meet your stopping requirements. The most popular sizes for electric brakes are the 10” and 12” diameter brakes.

Jacks/Safety Chains – We currently offer A-frame and Swivel Jacks for trailers in the 2000 lb. category. The A-frame jacks offer smooth cranking, long life, high strength tubing, more travel with less cranking, a foldaway handle and a heavy duty A-Frame plate. The swivel jacks swing parallel with the tongue in either direction to provide easy storage. A spring-loaded lock pin secures the square mount jack in either the up or down position. We also offer safety chains which are corrosion resistant chrome plated to assure long life and durability.

Dust Caps – We offer top-quality zinc plated grease caps designed to meet a variety of applications. Caps feature a “press-in” design for quick installation. They are made of a thick steel construction for lasting durability.

Diamond Saw Blades – We are able to import from many of the largest diamond saw blade production bases in Asia and many of the most influential diamond tool makers in the world. They are well known for their modern equipment, advanced technology and superior quality products. These blades are suitable for cutting various hard non-metallic materials such as marble, glass, granite, ceramic, concrete, asphalt and refractory products.

Spindles - The medium to light duty trailer industry is a natural fit for Chicago Expert Importers’s spindles. We have been providing spindle for a number of years and we offer a wide variety of spindles from machined round bar, hot forged straight and dropped spindles. Our spindles can be machined with a variety of anti nut turning devices such as cotter pins, D-flats, & slots and can be machined to include lubrication passages and fittings. We even offer welded in brake flanges so that you don’t have to. And if you require something unique, in many cases we are capable of meeting your specific requirements.

With a wide variety of hardware accessories with optional plating services available from e-coating, zinc plating and galvanizing to protect your investment, CEI can work with you on getting you what you need.

Miscellaneous products – We offer other products ranging from molded plastic, conveyor rollers, textiles, sporting goods and porcelain products. One of the sporting goods equipment is called a Hammer Bow Hanger which is used to protect your bow during practice sessions, at the campsite or during hunting. The Hammer Bow Hanger is designed to hold from 1 to 6 bows. It is made of powder coated 14 gauge steel and can be moved quickly and easily without a hammer. It works like a post hole driver that is built right in. We also supply other sportsman’s shooting accessories as well. The porcelain products come from a leading manufacturer that can supply customers in the power and processing industries. They use high quality materials, technology and production skills to create technical ceramic products.

Another product we are working on is a pneumatic tube container that can be used for the handling of cash, checks, and paperwork throughout the country. They are now being used at airports, retail stores, casinos, wholesale warehouses, supermarkets, toll collections facilities, movie theaters, and anywhere there is a need to transport cash and paperwork. At a speed of 20—30 feet per second, this system is a fast, secure, and efficient means of transport.
